My colleague at river-valley.tv put the chapters in. I think in QuickTime Pro. Very simple.

It would be nice if it were possible to split the video file into chapters or indexes that the media player used could recognize.

But, to be honest, the tutorials you’ve done are so gripping that you don’t even notice that they’re an hour long!

I agree with Duke. It depends on the subject at hand.

You can bet I’ll keep it up. I’m looking for ways to spend more time on this site and on video tutorials in general. Thanks so much for the kind words, and you can look forward to more tutorials as often as can be managed.

This says two things to me (politics of statistics )
1) People value video tutorials in any form, on any subject.
2) People want as many hours of instruction as they can get. Period.

1: vast expansive subjects like Basics, DO take a lot of time and effort to cover, so 1 hour per tutorial for that
2: (I’ve been sending Apollos, sample tutorials from myself recently), tutorials like mine on creating just a single simple object should 2-10 mins.
3: If the tutorial covers creating a complex object it should be 20-40 mins.

so, every tutorial’s length depends on the complexity of creation and level of user it is made for.

Well, I didn’t know that do I have to say again people’ve already said many times? I think about: “I’ve learnt more from even one of your great Video Tutarials, than I’ve known from everywhere else about Blender.” But it’s totally true! I don’t know how you do, but you are the Best Blender-”teacher”, or narrator, or anyting like that I’ve ever known about! You speak clearly, and understandable, and although I’m not a native speaker, I managed to, well, You managed me to understand Blender better. But I encouraged posting this comment because of the site isn’t so popular, yet, I think. So not many of comments are posted… And non at least becouse of encouraging you, not to stop creating your Video Tutarials! And at last my opinion of the two polls is: Just much more Blender, and if it is needed to be an hour a video to be understandable, and complex, I won’t mind it! (And I think nobody else would mind it…)

I’ll do a tutorial on straight line drawing in your honor! Thanks for the positive feedback, it motivates me to keep it up. I’ll keep doing them if you keep watching them.
