I put a chopped up preview of Blender Basics Part 1 on Youtube. I would have uploaded the whole thing but they have a 10 minute limit, so I settled for a preview that points people to Blender Underground, and shows some action highlights. Perhaps I’ll get some traffic from it. Comments are welcome; and if you feel like posting some comments or reviews at Youtube, head on over, it would be most appreciated.

I’ve finished editing Part 2 and am beginning all the “post production” tasks to make it ready for release. This includes adding transitions and overlays. The overlays will include keyboard callouts and highlights for interface elements, just like Part 1…
It was a hard road, but recording for both parts 1 and 2 is finished. Part 1 is still in the oven, although the editing is finished, I just need to do some post, mainly adding overlays for calling out interface elements; and I’m going to add some keyboard shortcut callouts — I just need to find a good spot for them…
I finished recording Part 1 today, and I’m editing in Premier Pro to reduce the screw-ups, lip smacking, and the sort.
It seems a little rough to me, I don’t think I have my tutorial mojo perfected yet. I may re-record some pieces here and there, but overall I think people will generally be forgiving even if a particular segment or two sounds like I just woke up from a nap…or something…just as an example…
I just finished the script for the Blender Basics Part 2 video tutorial. Given how this is developing, I’m just going to leave it open ended as to how many of these I’m going to do. Some of it will depend on time, and some on feedback. There will most likely be a part 3 and even a part 4, and who knows after that…
