Honestly, you knew nothing of being able to customize the interface?!

Seriously people, Apollos tutorials!

EDIT. That was a bit harsh, but really, it is something you need to do.

Customizing is easy. You look for the little box with the double arrow on the left of the screen. Then you choose what type of window you want. To make more sections, you right click on one of the partitions, and then click split area. Likewise, you can join areas.

Apollos FIRST Blender Basics video covers interface customization. I highly recommend it. :D

I knew how to do that, obviously, and i can see why that deserved a 'Ha!'
I thought you were talking about completely changing the interface, ie custom tools etc.

That seems to be coming. I just saw an interesting demo of it today (custom tabs (written in python) that look like they were always a part of Blender). In fact, it seems the entire interface is written in python.
