Blender Underground

Ok so its been a while since i have done well anything so i decided to challenge dudeman to a blend off. He has gotten a lot better so Im sure it will be interesting.

Ok Now the render has to be internal and the theme is to try to get a photorealistic render with blender internal. Now i know what your thinking but it is possible.

Time = 1 day (24 hours)

Yes i realize the time limit is short but it will work don't worry

Well it didn't take as long as i thought... But here it is (just a simple comp, desk and chair) i wouldn't say its photorealistic though but i can say it was all rendered in blender internal

Very good result, you've managed the internal renderer to come up with.
I really like the blue background in the first picture! Is this an image texture or anything 3d? maybe halos?

Thanks and yes ive been to a lot of blender forums but I must say these seem very dedicated to blender and only blender which is a good thing .
