Ha, this challenge fits perfectly,
because I have planned to redesign my website a long time ago,
so now it's time for it.

1 entry per person for the vote. You are certainly welcome to do as many images as you want.. but only one can be entered for the voting. Thanks.

Just incase you or others missed that part

No need to code anything.. just experiment with Blender to make a website layout. If people are going to have trouble with the wire render... perhaps a screenshot of your design in Blender's 3d window?

So as I understand it, we are really just making a background image for a webpage??

yeah basically. I mean if someone wants to take this project further and slice their render up into a coded and funtional website.. they could.

But for the Challenge, a simple render that shows the layout is just Peachy.. no wait.. Apricot.. maybe Orange?

Its easy. Make a 3D picture that can be used as a backdrop for a website. Period. Anything more you do will not be considered as part of the entry (such as going ahead and creating a website!) Am I right Darth?

Any suggestions for aspect ratio? 600 pixels wide, if we use the now standard ratio of 16:9 then thats only 338 pixels high! Would it be better to make it more like a printed page ratio of 8.5:11 = 600 x776? (sigh my first part looks really cool at 1650x1080  )

what about the good old 800x600? I know, I'm living in the past, but I still produce all my Director projects in this size...

The web standard is still 800x600 its a nice size to work at and its safe. Walsh.. please note that the thumbnail limit is 600 px. wide. This has no bearing on your actual render size since you can link your thumbnail to a larger image.
