Hey guys.
Lately, I've been making some indian styled models, and now wanted to make a tipi.

However, now that I marked all the seams, and unwrapped, a very odd thing happens to my uv map :[

It looks like this:

Please, try to help me ... I really need to make this model with textures.

If you'd need the download link for the .blend file, here it is:

I mean, I know how to fix the triangles all over the uv map, but the largest twist is just an oddling.

I am no expert with UV unwrap especially since they changed things with the new version but . . .
- Try adding more seams to break it down into better shapes.

In the latest version there are lots of tools to mess about with UV maps in the "flat" view.
( Although I have not found a good tutorial on them and the wiki is pretty bare, try a google search. )

- Think about what you are going to do with the UV maps. normally if I UV map something the next move is to create some image maps according to the usual side, top and front views and then texture paint onto them - so however weird the final UV map looks, it really does not matter as long as the paint ends up in the right place.

( . . and thats where i admit that i have not been able to texture paint in 2.63 - I go back to 2.49 and do it there !)
