1 - Starting:

Im not a guy that update my thread with every step I take, so you guys know that I usually post something bigger, as right now.

Finally I ll lauch on the next couple of days the Pic-a-pix 3D demo, I think that this is one of the few big projects that BGE had, and I m proud to say that the hardest part allready passed.

Thanks for the help of members of this comunity I have my game, my first serious project going really well.

2 - Things that you guys should know

First pic-a-pix 3D was made from scratch, but the idea is not totally original( at least not the puzzle), pic-a-pix or nanograms( you ll find lots of names for this type of game) are a japanese game where you have to paint some squares in order to create a image and there are tips of where to paint at the corners of the puzzle, you can know more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonogram

Ok about the 2d game now about the 3D, so I have a nintendo ds and I bough this game, picross 3D, and it s quite an addicting one, and I tought one day, am I abble to make sutch a cool game? then I start to work with this idea, and it started to grow and grow and I dont know exactly how, but now I have my game that is very close to picross 3D and anyone ll be abble to play even if they dont have a nintendo ds since I plan to lauch it to linux and mac, you could even tell that this is a fan game of that tittle. If you have a ds and want to play it or at least see what Im talking about see this link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9vjj0DoofA , I really recomend it, its very fun!

3 - Things about the game

This game is almost 95% logic bricks, I used some few scripts to make it run better some few made by me and some others with the help of this comunity, but this game I can say its a great example of what logic bricks could do for usual users like the big majority of this comunity, its a matter of strenght of will and lots of hours thinking.

Now its another phase for me and my game, I need to raise money in order to have this game done, I was planning in release the game as open source, but so far my only ( not quite yet) exponsor dont want that, he told me that if I open the source of MY game he would not want any bound with it, he is on his right, and I think that I may have to copyright the game to me and let it close source, but this doesnt mean that I ll not share what I know with this comunity, I m planning to do tutorials to teatch a little of what I ve learn for those who wants to learn a little with me.

4 - Toutchy things that I want to share because Im melodramatic!

I ll now search for exponsors and make a donation system to raise money for my game, I want to keep working with games, and I want to make more free quality games( if I can call my game a quality game) but I ll need money for that, so I want to raise money to start my own small business and then I would be abble to first finish this game and then start to work out on some other ideas that I have, that for me ll please a lot of gamers out there, but this still a dream and there is nothing concrete right now, I ll need your help and the help of some guys that I dont want to work with but I ll have to if I want to keep my dream alive.

This demo is the result of several months of work and Im really happy that I got this far on its development, all by myself with some help here and there, but this still a one man army crazy game creator.

5 - Important things:

Now I ll stop writing and I want to share, next weeks the pic-a-pix 3D game website ll be online if things came up as planned( this ll depend on the sponsor too[ I ll make the website by myself but who know what he ll say]), I ll upload the demo for the comunity for the next week or so, I ll upload lots of screens of the game and now I m uploading the first gameplay of the demo, so if you want to play the demo I would tell you to dont see the video, but if you want to watch the whole thing anyway I think that you will have a little fun with the demo too, but for eveyone I ask one thing if it ll not be that mutch.

6 - Begger things

I would like the help of you guys by like the video on youtube and ask for anyone who can like the video make it too, well at least if you like it, this will increase the popularity of the game and it ll be a start for me since I cant affort any marketing, so I really, really, really need help right now, I know that I m nobody and you guys have better things to do, but I really beg you guys to help me on this one!

7 - Links and images(no images yet)

Well here is the link for the vĂdeo of the complete gameplay of the Pic-a-Pix 3D game, sorry for the poor quality but I ll try to upload something better on the next few days but its HD if you want it.

System requirements are kind of vage right now, I know that you need at least a GT8600 to play the game but not with full graphics.

8 - Why I use numbers on the beginning of each topic if they are sequential!

Well I really dont know this one!

Thanks if you read it all, partially or skip the reading at all!

You were having troubles because your security level was too low to allow you to edit. It is a spam control measure preventing spammers from posting an innocuous message and then coming back later and editing to put their google bot spamming in. You can now edit your posts as well as your profile. Welcome to the Underground... :D
