Blender Underground

hey guys
as I said in the other thread, I was working on this project for a while now (more or less consequently)

I decided to make it a new topic, because it looks to me like ... ähm ... something new.


so here's the new design I've made

(I like it my style )

I guess you noticed, that this is not a blender-made composition and I'm pretty sure I'd kill blender if I make this image a node composition.
It's put together in Gimp, but nearly all components were rendered in blender.

instead of the blenfile (my blendfile named "all_kinds_of_stuff.blend" is a mess I don't wanna share), I show you the .xcf file, where everything is put together.

I know, that there are not all avatars inserted yet. That is because I went crazy with some really annoying errors. (sorry bogieman, your coming in, too)
sometimes I even couldn't open blender anymore. I had to restart my computer, and try looking for the reason again. it always happened when I rendered bogiemans spaceship.
blender is collecting the scenedata and crashes. No report in the console.
But I haven't given up jet.

my avatar is missing, too. That is because I lost my textures several times and stopped working on it. I probably will redo the whole model

ok. I've played a lot with it and currently I'm using 4.49 again

not so much of a success. Blender was crashing pretty often and I always lost something that took me long time to get right. I won't try working with 2.5 until its beta release I guess.


please tell me, what you think about the new Wallpaper.

the only is that some parts are too dark like the world and the robot, but is not problem, its really really good

Looks great, very nice cyberspacey background! I realize you put my name in, too. I'm still not sure what I can contribute. I'm more a technology/scifi guy, so a spaceship or a lightsaber should fit. However, we already got some weapons in there, and a spaceship as well. Any suggestions?
