For anyone who's interested, here's a high resolution texture pack.
They're not seamless, but they work great for texture painting.
Each texture is at 4096 pixels.

ermmm, :oops: Didn't realize GIMP has something of that nature. (I don't even use The GIMP)

What I'd be more interested in is the Digi Camo Patterns Filter for Gimp/Photoshop.

Here let me give you an example...

This is the current Pattern that the US Army not wears for the BDU's and actually very effective...

The old blotch woodland print is totally phased out now...

Not outside the U.S. it's not.

I thought about doing a digital camo pattern, decided against it at the time. I think I'll try it though.

I was able to replicated that digicamo to some extent by taking the camo mat in blender, and doing a texture bake to a low res texture (128px) then rendering it with interpolation disabled. But it's not all that nice. If you really want digicamo textures, there are great ones online.

here's how you do camo in gimp (using the camo tool)(you can alway do it with a mix of filters too)

You could get a free account with a site like 4shared or Photobucket and post us links to the texes here on BU.
Me, I appreciate any new textures you can offer.

I have an ever-growing collection of textures and a collection of plans and photos of almost everything - just to make models from.
Yes, I can make textures myself too - but all that takes time and it is too easy to spend hours making a single element that may not be noticed in the finished renders, so it's good to have help.

I was only referring to the US Armed Forces in mass, not the entire world in general. If I had implied I was speaking about the whole world in general, It was not my intention.

There is Likely a Plug-in/Filter for Gimp and/or Adobe Photoshop by now, It's just that I haven't be able to find it. I could just grab the pattern on the we and tweak it to be tiled repeatable, but that then leaves me with a few issues.

What I would really like Is a Filter plug-in where I can enter a few procedural parameter's and such and then have a unique patter generated maybe based on a seed value or just randomly generated. beyond that I'd like a camo generator to also allow more then just three or four colors to be used.

IE: Set the over all base color, Set Color1, Set Color2, Set Color3 (Add More colors if desired past these) Over all blotch size Min and Max, Over all blotch distribution min and max, Over all single patch (The squares them selves) sizes min and max.

Much like the current Woodland Style Camo filters we already have. Heck make a toggle for the existing one. It goes from smooth curves to squared off patches. that would be vastly more helpful... As it sits All I have seen are Woodland style filters for Gimp and/or Photoshop...

Jezz, if you really love that camo just add a pixelisator filter to the mix.
...although I admit a little bit of Script-Fu may be required to make gimp produce real bad ass camo patterns.
