Hello everyone, Im new to this forum although Im well known over at blenderartists, But I thought I would let you know about my thread over there about learning to cope with cycles.

Currently Its got around 16,000 views and im always on hand to help anyone out with there troubles aswell as alot of frequent users who help each other much like in this forum.
Check it out anyway - http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?245711-learning-to-cope-with-cycles-tips-tricks-and-tuts

Also while im here I want to let you know about BlenderBuntu, Some of you may already be using it, But for those that arnt heres a quick intro to what it is...
The first OS designed specially for Blender users.
Designed by a modeller, For modellers.
Stripped down, FAST and easy to use.
Auto updates of the latest blender svn almost everyday.
Modified version of gimp 2.6 with single windowed mode.
Much more reliable than Windows 7.
Based on ubuntu 11.10
HIGHLY modified for speed in rendering.

Its still in open beta so there is alot I need to do to it still, But I use it everyday (im a proffesional modeller) And I find it to be brilliant for everyday use even though its still in beta, If you want to try it out then its free to download or you can order the CD and have it shipped out anywhere in the world from the website, If you have any suggestions about what should be added in the final beta then please send me an email through the website (As It will go through to my phone so I can reply straight away)
Thank you, With care Bizla.

I am trying my best to be patient and be friendly with you but your lies annoy me like this one.

"The first OS designed specially for Blender users." Its at least the third and that is only the ones I know about, the original Blenderbuntu https://sourceforge.net/projects/blenderbuntu/ came before yours and then it was my Blender-boot http://blenderboot.blogspot.co.uk/ The people here already know about mine so why would you even think about getting away with lying. I have offered you help, pointed out bugs to you and answered a few questions for you, but you are pushing my patience seriously! How can you say the beta runs fine as well it should be an alpha because you had no alpha and because this build has no way of adjusting resolution or sound along with other bugs like installing it from live session is impossible etc, why do I bother helping you?

That was typo, it was supposed to say 'the first OS specifically designed for fastest blender renders'
But I was in a rush to get it wrote so I didnt think.

And your calling me a liar??
As a person who also has made a custom distro I wouldve thought you should know how to adjust the volume, its really quite simple, But its a bug I need to get fixed none the less.

And actually there was an alpha.

That is still wrong as mine and the original Blenderbuntu were designed with fast renders in mind. Also of course I can fix the volume issue but its not good to expect your regular users to know how to. There is only one download available, I have never seen an alpha so sorry if im wrong but if the build on sourceforge is your second I am wondering if you tested the first one at all. Somehow which amazes me you have made Lxde run slower and taken away half the basic functionality. Your turn this into more than it is, I do not like your false claims that is all. I welcome you as competition in fact as I said above I have been helping you, just please if you are going to do this, do it properly take your time with it, test it, listen to people problems and opinions. Do not just shove out something untested and say its OK when its not possible to install it from a live session, which is the most common way people install Ubuntu distributions as they like to test them first. Do not tell someone just to sort the issue out, like you have just told me to do with the sound tell people how to like I do. Listen to peoples opinions don't take them to heart and don't say things like "BlenderBuntu is the first operating system to have Blender at its core, with automatic updates from the official blender website so that you always have the latest version with the least bugs and the best performance" which is on your website, because I was doing that before you. All I am saying is basically when someone helps you like I have been and when people tell you something is wrong use it to help your project do not ignore it. You can get all stressed and augmentative with me if you want I am not going to argue back as I am just making valid points, as I said take it all on board and improve your project.

@penix1 I agree I just got a little angry because I was helping him so much, I have tried to explain why he has upset me, told him I don't want to argue and I welcome the friendly competition.

That's OK. I just wanted to defuse what could have been a nasty conflict.

I haven't tried this yet because I am having issues with my machine at the moment. I normally run Gentoo so I am very familiar with the speed increases one can attain when one doesn't need loads of extraneous programs running. The customizations one can do with it are astounding. Keep up the development. The more the merrier...

your right, im sorry, But hey im english, i dont back down, you should know that lol ;)
The alpha was released a while ago to a few specific people that I know, they are all developers of some sort (some web developers, some game developers, one who works with super computers at cambridge university, and a couple of modellers. I ironed out all the bugs that they sent to me, For some reason the volume and resolution problem wasnt in the alpha, I dont know whether its a problem with LXDE though as the plpha was using iceWM with a few treaks to make it more visually pleasing, I have got the audio sorted and im sorting out the resolution, I havnt started on the Live install yet though, thats just baffling me why its not working..
The next release isnt far off and that will have more bug fixes and should even be a little faster.

I dont know how to edit my first post to take out that its the first, But i can edit my website for it, which reminds me I have a link from my website leading to yours so Its not like im trying to tell people that yours doesnt exist or anything like that.

Its ok dont worry about it looking foward to seeing your next release. Im very excited about my next release and all its new features and fixes I hope you will check it out when it is done. Its not that you are not saying mine exists ats that your saying yours is the first and only etc thats all. I will link to you soon but deciding about what I am doing with my site first might be changing it a lot and making it more than a blog

That will be good :) full sites are always more attractive to pottential customers than blogs, I have done quite alot of websites over the years so if you need any tips from where to place google adsense to raising your site ranking in search engine then ill be willing to help you out :)

Yes of course i will, When the next release is available let me know on BA because all private messages from blenderArtists go straight to my phone, and I will give it a thoughrough testing ;)

Thanks for offering the help and saying you will test out the final build still over a month to go, so much time to add new features and polish it round the edges. anyway I can help you let me know. Back to site building I have only ever really built one for my papercraft team http://csfgpapercraft.com/index.htm its not bad though, still may ask for your help at some point.

I take it your waiting for 12.04 aswell eh ;)
Good job for your first website, My first one was really bad, nothing made sense and the spelling was atrociuos lol, when it comes to placing adsense one big tip which has helped me earn a a nice amount is to not put all your adverts down the right hand side, the most clicked places are (strangly) in the middle of an article or along the left hand side following your text, also the top left corner is a high clicking area although personally I dont like having ads there as it looks a little tacky.

No not enough time to properly test 12.04 that will be the base of version 2. To change the base takes a distribution back to alpha state. Thanks for the ad advice but Blender-boot site will be ad free as its my gift to the Blender community. I am working on bigger projects for hopefully making some money.
