This movie is a few years old but a great find, if you can rent it please do so. Many people call this movie a Sci-Fi but it is more a psychological drama. It's a thinking man's movie and because we here on the Blender Underground think on a higher level than most I decided it should be posted here. Jerome Bixby who wrote for 1960's Star Trek "Requiem for Methuselah" came out with this beautiful single set movie with fine acting (yes even from William Katt) and superior dialog.
As a group of intellectual friends gather for farewell party. Professor John Oldman played by David Lee Smith, fields questions as to why he resigned his tenure and more importantly, why the sudden departure. His friends continue to probe him for an answer. A heated debate ensues when Oldman asks a hypothetical question, "What if a man from the Stone Age was able to survive for thousands of years and lived to the present?" What begins as an interesting theoretical discussion among intellectuals takes a strange turn when out of the blue, Oldman reveals that he is that man, a Cro-Magnon from the Paleolithic era who has lived for an amazing 14,000 years.
A riveting must see movie.
