Me and the Mrs went to see it tonight. The only available screening was in 3D, not that I was bothered by that.. just the ticket price was higher :).

I assume you all know the previous movies, personnaly I've watched the first 2 films dozens of times with my kids, both of whom are huge fans. The movie kicks off pretty much where no.2 left off, all the toys are present and accounted for and Andy is still having huge amounts of the fun with them all. The opening sequence is both a spectacle and great fun with the slight break from norm that we are seeing through Andy's imagination.

Jumping ahead, Andy is about to go to college and the toys are going to be stored in the attic, but they end up getting put in a day care centre where things are not what they seem. I don't want to give away too much. While all the other toys are being "played" with, Woody has met some new friends who warn him that his friends are in danger. After a brilliant rescue the toys find their way back to Andy.

I hope I've not spoiled the story too much for anyone who has not seen the movie yet, I just wanted to give a rough synopsis.

Visually the movie is incredible, everything looks brilliant.... Andy and his family have revamped a little, just enough to be up to date... but not so realistic that your put off (see Monster VS Aliens). The music was great too and there was even a Spanish version of "You've got a friend in me".

Steves Conclusion

Awsome movie, if you don't have a frog in your throat by the end you either don't have a heart or your lying!

Well, the ending wasn't so sad for me, but there was a bit that was sad.

I'll try to explain it without spoiling anything...it's the bit where they are all slowly sliding down. I thought they managed to make that scene really sad just with facial expressions and music.
