These are the rules for posting private messages (PM). This has come about because of some abuse and confusion on what the PM system is to be used for. Registered users are given space here at BU to send and receive private messages. This is a privilege. It is not a right. Abuse of the PM system will lead to your banning from the board.

1. Don't use the PM system for Blender related questions. That is what the "Questions and Help" section of the forum is for. We all don't learn when you get answers in private and you are more likely to get several ways to do what you want when you post in the open.

2. Don't use the PM system for anything illegal. This goes without saying. Banning or worse is in your future if you do and we find out.

3. Do not send blanket PM system messages. Again, that is what the forums are for. We tend to look at blanket PM system messages as "spam".

4. Don't harass people in private messages. Nuf said here.

If I or other admins think of more, we reserve the right to change these rules so check back from time to time.
