I'm currently working on putting together a bar scene which requires me to make all the different shaped glasses and such. So just for fun I decided to start making a set of glasses with my version of the Blender Underground logo on them.

Here are the shot Glasses...

looks nice! though, for what ever reason most shot glasses are transulcent and your glass seems to be a bit thick, maybe the thickness is becuase of the camera angle though. do you plan on doing stiens, mugs or the like?

Thanks Apollos, and yes it is the same one from my avatar just recolored.

Thanks AllSeeingEyeoftheMan, and you are right that most shot glasses are translucent and not quite that thick. These however were crafted after a set a friend of mine has, they are that thick and very heavy. They are the kind you can throw at someone and their skull will crack long before the glass does.

And here is the next installment. The BlenderUnderground Wine Glasses.

And here is the Martini glass. To be honest I'm not entirely happy with this one. And Martini Glasses as I have figured out don't have a lot of good spots for logos.

So as to minimize loading time for this thread I will just link to the picture.

Lol, yes there is a story. Thankfully I was never the target of one but I have seen one thrown across a room and bounce off the wall without so much as a chip.

And here is the next part of the set, A BlenderUndergound Beer Mug.

This will look much better once it is in a scene with other items to help the lighting.

And what bar set would be complete with out a tumblers.

Ok I think that will do it for modeling the glasses, at least for tonight. I think I will try to arrange them all in the scene together before I call it a night.

i appreciate thick shot glasses. i used to break them, until i started to mix my drinks. martini glasses are hard to put a logo on, most are distingushed by their stem, maybe somehow incorportae the logo into the stem, or put a umbrella with the logo on the umbrella. those other glasses look very good!

After some trial and error and much rendering time I present to you the Blender Underground Bar!

Image

I admit I probably could have done a better job on the bar but I will just looking for something quick to put the glasses on. And before anyone says anything I know only one of the beer mugs has the logo, that one's mine.

Also had a wine bottle I was working on so I put it in as well. Its going to take me a while to get the proportions just right but I think I am pretty close. The shots may be a little small is all.

That must be the first not-at-all-transparent wine bottle I've ever seen... No really, looks good.

I'll admit the wine bottle was just a quick throw in. It just looked like that part of the image needed something. The wine bottle is a work in progress and I'm still fine tuning the mats for it.

Lol, Apollos, that sounds like a plan!
