When posting the main post of the challenge, make a note in an opposing color... like yellow? that says something like this:

This thread is for enteries only. All other posts will be removed by staff.

Its hard to miss, and its clear as to the intention of the thread in general.

Or maybe an occasion for peoples who like to mess everything up

I don't remember it specifically, but that happens to me quite often. I think that consolidating winners periodically into a thread is a good idea. I could then link to it from the main page.

i have a suggestion as well, when making the poll to vote can the poster make it standard practice to include a pic linked to each entries name like was done in the week 14 voting. it can get pretty confusing going thru several pages of a discussion thread trying to hunt down the latest of each entry to make your vote.

If the entry thread is just entries and then the poll is added to it.. you have both already and clean enough to look through.

Howdy Teagus! To compliment your suggestion I would propose that each participant gets only 1 official entry, but that they can change that entry at any time up to the point where voting opens. This would mean that the "Entries" thread would contain exactly one post from each entrant, period. All discussion would take place on a separate but corresponding thread.

That's how I view this anyway. One entry and one entry post per person, with the understanding that the official entry can change at any time until voting opens. No other discussion allowed on the Entry thread.

The corresponding discussion thread could contain all the craziness and conversations that make for good fun. When voting opens, the Entries thread becomes the Voting thread, and it's simple to sort through the entries, both for the voter and the moderator.
