Abandoned Monastary (SCI-FI)

This thread is for discussion of Challenge #22


About this Challenge: This Challenge was inspired by a scene in the new Star Wars: Clone Wars movie which recently was released to DVD. The characters visit an Abandonded Monastary which is at the top of a cliff. I figured we could give our creative muscles a stretch and create our own.

Please let me remind all who enter the size limit for entries is 600 pixels wide.
This limit is enforced and if you post an entry that is larger than the limit it will be removed or not entered into the poll.


Deadline for submittal is 11:59 PM MST (-7:00 GMT), Sunday, December 14th.


Further notes:

All entries should use the Blender Internal Renderer for this challenge.

You have two weeks to complete your entry and perfect it.

hmm Is that deadline correct, I thought we were going to 2 week intervals?

I would say so... huh...

Goliath will have exceeded my post count by xmas - I'll bet money on. what makes it worse (LOL) is that most of his posts are actually relevant questions, answers or suggestions rather than trivial stuff. Ah to be young and in love with Blender

and this is before I post this so wanted "How to make a mammoth tank" tutorial

...witch may appear fast !

...good thing because like things are going, I will probably have to make a tutorial un "How to make a damn nice monastery with blender"

ps: there will be a condition to make me upload the finished result :

AT LEAST 4 entries will have to be in the entry section of this challenge. (So 3 + mine)

Otherwise, forget about any .blend of it.

@Goliath: Ha, you're definitely not the only one with a monastery. I hope I can show something of my work, soon. And yours is looking great so far, though you have still some "Top Secrets" on your todo list.
