So this is going to be something that isn't just as simple as making a model, you have to make the WHOLE landscape...

Well, it's definitely going to be a challenge :D

Well I think we have some talent here, and I also know that we as a community will help each other.

I posted some inspirations for all of us as well. We have the full month to do this, so let's jump in and give it a shot.

I like this. I really like this. Very good concept for this challenge.

I think I'll get to brainstorming. :)

Does it have to be large scale landscape or can it be a camera in a forest?

6 HOUR... and i didn't save once... what kind of idiot doesn't save ONCE in 6 hours it was... beautiful... and intricate and it had a lake and an awesome castle built into a cliff... and the water was pretty and reflected and awesome sunset in the distance... and the forest... its all gone... damn you grass partical system :( :( :x :( stupid stupid stupid... 6 hours... i normaly cant spend more the 30 minutes on something without getting bored and moving on to something else (ADD) but i did 6 and i have nothing.... nothing

well i can't model a castle again without bursting into tears so I'll have to make something else.

Im prolly retarded but im using the grass particle system as well but i cant get the grass to render correctly, Its being rendered as black same as the material for the object even tho i have a seperate material.

I don't have an answer for you but you will get answers to this quicker in the general help section. Although it may be related to your entry.. that section will be able to help you on specific questions like this.

... did you change the number of the material that the particals use to render... its somewhere in the rendering settings... maybe its the wrong number.
