I was playing around as usual and decided to compile something from our future....

That ladies and gentlemen is Blender 2.5 with my Aiko model in it. Right now it doesn't do much with most functions claiming the dreaded "Not Yet" moniker. As things develop, I'll keep you posted.

well that new look is definitively gonna put blender on top of
the "look challenge" beside all others softwares ! :D !

I just hope there's still gonna be a boost up
with the game engine.

...I know that game engine is already outstanding,

...but who am I to say i don't want more upgrades again ? :D ?

Right now the game engine is working but the game player is inoperative. It will crash the compiler if you enable the game engine because of it. Still needs lots of work but the windows are cool. 8)

Yeah Jonathan Williamson did a preview of the 2.5 on CG Cookie as well. Looks interesting.

Woohoo! 2.5 now renders and comes with a default cube, camera and lamp. Those are no longer "Not Yet". They still haven't setup the user interface controls yet so to control the interface you still need to do it in scripts (yuck!) But I suspect some clever dev will fix that soon. Too bad you can't add other geometry yet... :(

They should toss the cube and put in Susanne. Then all the new tutorials will say "Delete the monkey" and people will wonder and PeTA will have a fit.

Might be good fun!

Ahem... Just thought I'd quickly check that out for you. So, I downloaded the latest build (Jul 1) and tried it out. Press [SHIFT + A] to add new objects. YAAAAAYYYYY!!!
