Hey guys just to let you know my wife and I and the kids are moving to a new flat over the next few days, still in the same town but just more central for things like shops/school/beach (enter Scottish waters at your own risk of hypothermia). So anyway, I'm just trying to organize a new internet/phone provider so I might not be as active as I have been for the last week or so.

We'll keep a goat burning for ya...

curious where the term flat meaning house, apartment, etc, came from.

I think it may have come from the fact that the whole building is on one level. There's no upstairs or downstairs. It's all flat. I may be wrong.

So how is your new place? Is it bigger than the old one?

Its a bit bigger and its right next to the beach... which is great for the kids.

Although I am online BT, my provider, are only providing me with 0.1mbps.... even though we're paying for 8mbps. Something to do with the line speed being capped while they fixed a problem at the exchange. They've told me it will take a few days for the speed to go back to what its supposed to be.

Look on the bright side : speed will come back
