This movie is due April 5th on DVD and BR, my Dad and I saw it back after Christmas. My Dad saw the first Tron and was blown away. He said the movie is what started him into computers. Then he purchased the Tron 2.0 video game which he enjoyed and plays off and on. However he apologized for taking me to see Legacy. That should tell you how much he didn't enjoy it. On the way back home in the car that night we discussed why we felt this film did a vast injustice to the world Tron.

For starters he felt they cloned too much of the plot directly from the TRON 2.0 (2003) video game. In the game you play as Alan's son Jethro "Jet" Bradley. ENCOM has been taken over by a company called Future Control Industries. After talking with his father who is kidnapped while on the phone with Jet, Jet is digitized by Alan's AI computer system, to aid her in combating Thorne, an executive who was improperly digitized into the computer and is now a corruption spreading like a virus throughout the system. So if you played this game, you will see obvious clones in the plot.

I felt like they used too much Starwars in it to be a movie about Tron. The movie has Flynn running around looking and acting like an Obi-Wan Kenobi and practicing Zen meditation. Rinzler was too much like Darth Maul right down to using dual disks. The light cycles are now able to curve, even I thought that was more than odd in a digital world. Wilde plays a sexy role muttering a 3rd grader script, while Hedlund's role is the juvenile irresponsible punk. The movie is far too predicable, you would have to be blind not to know the combined final destiny of Wilde's and Bridge's characters. We are supposed to be shocked to learn Tron's new identity and I wasn't surprised by anything in this movie.

This movie is nothing more that eye candy. The plot was ill-conceived and should have been much better since they had about 30 years to think it over.

I thought it was a great movie, but it doesn't really take much for me to think that. If it has any sort of action or is funny at all, I'll probably like it.

The music? Amazing, IMO. Lotsa bass

There was only one scene at a lame club. No one was dancing so you couldn't call it a dance club. Sam was there to get help from the owner and the scene was brief and had little to do with the plot.
