I really like what you are doing!!! Why are not everyone doing talking cartoons?
Well fred, I know for a fact that my brother is following my tutorial and will have a video for lip sync soon. Which he will be posting as the last video example in this tutorial. He is also currently playing Portal 2 on the 360 and has a tutorial of his own he is working on.
I also got some Q&A's via email from 'Wacky Blend' and he's making a combo of exactly what you are talking about. The plan there is to make 2 models a man and a woman having a conversation. Beyond that he is keeping his project a shhh.... SECRET, and will most likely sell it on Turbosquid.
Not only does
*planning these cartoons take time, it is now summer and this is the FIRST decent weather I have seen for a week or more. School is coming to an end and many people think less of the PC and forums and more of vacations and the beach. I am not a beach person.
*Planning an animation is important, you need a rough script, such as Wacky Blend's blond joke or my bad date story. Then if you are lucky you get a few friends to do voice overs (VO) for that script.
If not, you can do what I did and use this
cool webpage for a variety of voices. Assuming you have ALL the models rigged, sets, props and in place (as I know you do) then there is the matter of adding the movements and lip sync to the Blender and rendering. I always do post production editing in the end. Then we not only have something for others to enjoy but to take pride for our art.
I tend to hang out here and there during the summer, but as a rule of thumb the forums popularity are Fall and Winter sports.
