Papagayo is not so "good" - it is overexagerating!!!
:?
Flashamp was a "good" program - underexagerating!!!
http://www.marmalademedia.com.au/flashamp/releases.html

We have to make something new!!!

One of us is confused? Papagayo creates lip sync for Blender. Does Flashamp contain a plugin?

Get this man some decafe!

no! Flashamp was for Flash.
:(
It used the volume of the sound for lipsync - mostly that is sufficient.
:?
Perhaps someone can make a plugin for Blender using the same concept?
:D

I really like what you are doing!!! Why are not everyone doing talking cartoons?
:D
Why not have a try with two characters to make a dialogue - and some music!!!

Use two characters, some Sketchup model as a stage and music!!!

PLAY the cartoon with VLC media player
PLAY the cartoon with QuickTime media player

cuz it does not look nice.

which is one of my top criteria of what make a good piece of art :

1 - Look nice
2 - Is well done
3 - Is logical or logically illogical.

Well fred, I know for a fact that my brother is following my tutorial and will have a video for lip sync soon. Which he will be posting as the last video example in this tutorial. He is also currently playing Portal 2 on the 360 and has a tutorial of his own he is working on.

I also got some Q&A's via email from 'Wacky Blend' and he's making a combo of exactly what you are talking about. The plan there is to make 2 models a man and a woman having a conversation. Beyond that he is keeping his project a shhh.... SECRET, and will most likely sell it on Turbosquid.

Not only does *planning these cartoons take time, it is now summer and this is the FIRST decent weather I have seen for a week or more. School is coming to an end and many people think less of the PC and forums and more of vacations and the beach. I am not a beach person.

*Planning an animation is important, you need a rough script, such as Wacky Blend's blond joke or my bad date story. Then if you are lucky you get a few friends to do voice overs (VO) for that script.

If not, you can do what I did and use this cool webpage for a variety of voices. Assuming you have ALL the models rigged, sets, props and in place (as I know you do) then there is the matter of adding the movements and lip sync to the Blender and rendering. I always do post production editing in the end. Then we not only have something for others to enjoy but to take pride for our art.

I tend to hang out here and there during the summer, but as a rule of thumb the forums popularity are Fall and Winter sports. :D

Going by Wacky Blend's avatar I'm pretty sure HE is a SHE! Just thought I'd point it out. Of course, that's assuming that the avatar really is Wacky Blend!

Perhaps two characters! You have to make a story!!!
How to make stories? You have to learn about dialectics!!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dialectic
Dialectic (also dialectics and the dialectical method) is a method of argument for resolving disagreement that is central to Indic and European philosophy, since antiquity. The word dialectic originated in Ancient Greece, and was made popular by Plato in the Socratic dialogues. The dialectical method is dialogue between two or more people holding different points of view about a subject, who wish to establish the truth of the matter by dialogue, with reasoned arguments.

That is the whole reason why we call him "he".

No you don't. You need to learn about this :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imagination

and this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Originality

...which would then allow one to not do the same thing over and over again.

Yes, I have a few more keys to do on the Make Human mesh -which is more complexed with a tongue- not to mention I don't like working in 2.57. So I won't mention that. I am making this one blink because I read someone mentioned that up there. I don't have an audio just yet but I was going to use something from a movie or maybe have it sing a song.

@EVOL: Goliath isn't a curmudgeon, he just appreciates hard work. ;)

@GOLIATH: OK PAL! Time for an avatar update? >:)

@FRED: It will be a while before I get a video made. Maybe sometime this summer. I will be posting my finished models for the scene at my turbosquid account for download.
